GIMIDE™ is a high-performance polyetherimide (PEI) supplied in granule form for advanced engineering applications. This amorphous thermoplastic combines outstanding thermal stability, mechanical strength, and inherent flame resistance with excellent electrical insulation properties. GIMIDE™ is designed for demanding environments where reliability and dimensional stability are essential.

GIMIDE™ offers a high glass transition temperature of approximately 217 °C, ensuring reliable mechanical performance and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. Its inherent flame retardancy typically enables UL94/0.8mm V-0 classification without additional flame-retardant additives.

The material provides excellent strength and stiffness, low creep behavior, and stable electrical insulation performance across a wide temperature range. Broad chemical resistance to oils, hydrocarbons, and many industrial cleaning agents further enhances its suitability for demanding environments.

Available in natural, colored, and glass-fiber-reinforced grades, GIMIDE™ supports flexible design and application-specific customization. It can be efficiently processed by injection molding and extrusion, enabling high-precision components and consistent industrial-scale production.
